The accident occurred on Monday night in central Seoul, where the vehicle, which was reportedly going in the wrong direction, collided with two other cars before hitting several people. Six individuals, including the driver, sustained injuries. The driver, who was detained, claimed that his car had accelerated unexpectedly.

Senior police officer Jung Yong Woo informed local media that the suspect's car is set to undergo forensic examination. Authorities are deliberating whether to seek a formal arrest warrant. The driver has been hospitalized and tested negative for alcohol and drugs. Identified by media as a veteran bus driver in his late 60s from Ansan, his identity remains undisclosed due to privacy regulations.
