Congress Demands Resignation of Minister over Nursing Scam in Madhya Pradesh
The Opposition Congress in the Madhya Pradesh assembly called for the resignation of Minister Vishvas Sarang over alleged irregularities in granting permissions to nursing colleges during his tenure. The Congress also demanded a joint panel to probe the scam but staged a walk-out after their demands were rejected. The CBI has been investigating the scam, with multiple arrests made.

In a heated session of the Madhya Pradesh assembly on Tuesday, the Opposition Congress demanded the resignation of Minister Vishvas Sarang over alleged irregularities in the approval process for nursing colleges.
The Congress also called for the formation of a joint panel to investigate the so-called 'nursing scam.' However, the proposal was rejected, prompting Congress MLAs to stage a walk-out.
Minister Sarang dismissed the allegations as baseless, attributing the irregularities to the previous Congress government. The CBI has been investigating the matter, with 13 arrests already made.
