Russia Reacts to U.S. Missile Deployments in Germany

The United States and Germany declared on Wednesday that they would begin deploying long-range fire capabilities in Germany by 2026 to reinforce their commitment to NATO and European defense. The deployments will include SM-6, Tomahawk cruise missiles, and hypersonic weapons, intended as preparations for longer-term stationing.

Ryabkov labeled this move as escalatory. 'Without nerves, without emotions, we will develop a military response to this new game,' he said, as cited by Interfax. President Vladimir Putin recently stated that Russia should resume the production and deployment of intermediate and shorter-range nuclear-capable missiles in response to U.S. actions in Europe and Asia.
