Gaza Ceasefire Talks Face Delays Amid Accusations

Hamas has claimed that no updates have been provided regarding Gaza ceasefire negotiations. They accuse Israel of delaying tactics to gain time and disrupt the talks. This comes as mediators from Qatar and Egypt, supported by the US, intensify efforts to end the nine-month conflict in Gaza and address hostage situations.

In a statement released on Thursday, Hamas reported that mediators have yet to provide updates on Gaza ceasefire negotiations. The group accused Israel of employing stalling tactics to gain time and derail the discussions.

According to Hamas, 'The occupation continues its policy of stalling to buy time to foil this round of negotiations, as it has done in previous rounds.'

This statement comes amidst intensified efforts by Qatari and Egyptian mediators, backed by the United States, to secure a ceasefire deal. The goal is to end the nine-month war in Gaza and address the issue of Israeli hostages held by Hamas and Palestinians detained in Israel.
