Russian Shelling Claims Lives in Donetsk Region

Russian shelling claimed at least four lives and wounded nine others in Ukraine's embattled eastern Donetsk region on Friday, according to the governor.

In Myrnohrad, two individuals were killed and six others injured near an administrative building and bus stop, noted Governor Vadym Filashkin on the Telegram messaging app.

A separate assault on an unnamed enterprise in Kostiantynivka left two civilians dead and three injured, he added. Images provided showed severely damaged buildings, a bus with shattered windows, and a burnt-out car displaced by the blast.

The Donetsk region, partly occupied by Russian forces, frequently endures shelling and airstrikes. Despite Moscow's denials of targeting civilians or civilian infrastructure, thousands have died in the conflict.
