Seven Naxalites Arrested in Chhattisgarh with Rs 3 Lakh Bounty

Seven Naxalites, including two carrying a cumulative bounty of Rs 3 lakh, were arrested in the Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh on Sunday, a police official confirmed.
The arrests took place near a river in the Chhutwai village under the Tarrem police station limits. Among those nabbed was a female cadre, identified as Uika Mangari, alias Jyoti, and Tamo Bhima.
A joint team comprising the Special Task Force, the 210 CoBRA battalion, CRPF's 153 battalion, and local police carried out the operation. Bhima, a member of Platoon Number 9 of the outlawed Maoist organisation, had a Rs 2 lakh bounty on his head, while Jyoti, the president of Krantikari Mahila Adivasi Sangthan (KAMS), had a Rs 1 lakh reward. The remaining five were lower-rung cadres involved in multiple instances of Maoist violence, including an attack on a security camp in Chhutwai.
