YSRCP Leader Appeals to PM Modi Over Alleged Attacks

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and opposition leader, wrote to PM Narendra Modi detailing alleged attacks on YSRCP members by the ruling TDP. He reported significant violence, property destruction, and lack of law and order, requesting a central investigation and a meeting with the PM.

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and current opposition YSRCP leader, has penned a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, alleging widespread atrocities against his party cadres by the ruling TDP and its allies.

Reddy reported that within a month, 31 people were murdered, 35 committed suicide, 560 private and 490 government properties were destroyed, and 2,700 people were forced to flee their villages. He cited over 1,050 incidents of violence and attacks, illustrating the deteriorating law and order situation under the current government.

The letter follows the murder of YSRCP activist Sheikh Rashid in Vinukonda. Reddy accused the TDP of trying to eliminate YSRCP influence, describing the law and order situation as abysmal. Additionally, he mentioned that 27 IAS and 24 IPS officers have not been allocated postings. Reddy requested a central investigation into post-election incidents and sought an appointment with Modi to discuss the state’s affairs over the last 45 days.
