Tragic Accident: Police Constable's Death in Jharkhand

A police constable in Jharkhand's Latehar district died on Wednesday after his rifle allegedly went off accidentally while he was cleaning it. Constable Pramod Singh, 35, was declared dead at the Chhipadohar Health Centre. The incident occurred around 11 am, and his body was sent for a post-mortem examination.

A police constable in Jharkhand's Latehar district tragically lost his life on Wednesday due to an accidental discharge of his rifle, officials reported.

Constable Pramod Singh, aged 35, was stationed at the Karamdih picket under Chhipadohar police jurisdiction. The fatal incident occurred around 11 am when Singh's rifle went off during cleaning, resulting in a neck wound. He was immediately taken to Chhipadohar Health Centre, where he was pronounced dead by medical personnel.

Superintendent of Police Anjani Anjan confirmed Singh was a resident of the Satbarwa police station area in Palamu district. Authorities have sent the body to Sadar Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
