The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over its lack of response to the deaths of a woman and her three-year-old son, who fell into a waterlogged drain in east Delhi.
AAP highlighted that the BJP seeks power without accountability and demanded financial compensation for the victims' family. They announced plans to protest outside the Lt Governor's residence on Saturday.
Addressing the media, AAP’s Delhi convener, Gopal Rai, accused the BJP of 'double standards' and highlighted the party's initial attempts to deflect blame to the Public Works Department (PWD) before it was established that the drain fell under the Delhi Development Authority (DDA).
