Amidst the ongoing controversy surrounding allegations by Hindenburg Research against SEBI chairperson Madhabi Buch, the Congress on Monday demanded her resignation and called on the Supreme Court to transfer the Adani probe to the CBI or a Special Investigation Team due to the 'likelihood of SEBI's compromise.'
The opposition party emphasized the need to immediately convene a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) to fully investigate what they described as the 'Modani mega scam' involving top political and business figures.
These assertions followed SEBI's statement that allegations against the Adani Group had been 'duly investigated,' with Buch disclosing and recusing herself at various times.
