The team, which includes forensic and medical experts, has divided into three groups for a thorough examination. One group will interview witnesses and on-duty doctors at the hospital, another will present an arrested civic volunteer in court, and the third will collaborate with Kolkata Police officials who initially investigated the case.
The Calcutta High Court recently ordered the Kolkata Police to transfer all case-related documents to the CBI by August 14. Consequently, CBI officers retrieved pertinent paperwork from Tala Police Station and are now seeking call details of the deceased and those on duty at the time of the incident. An FIR has been registered under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita in connection to the case.
