Ukraine's Bold Advance: Significant Gains in Russian Territory

Ukraine has announced substantial advancements in Russia's Kursk region, with troops moving one to two kilometers forward since Wednesday and successfully clearing the Russian town of Sudzha.

In a strategic move, Kyiv deployed thousands of troops last week, achieving its most significant battlefield gains since 2022. President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, in a video shared on Telegram, was briefed by his top commander, Oleksandr Syrskyi, about the operation's progress, including capturing more than 100 Russian prisoners of war within the same period.

Top commander Syrskyi confirmed that Sudzha is fully under Ukrainian control. However, Reuters has not independently verified these claims. Russian President Vladimir Putin has pledged a 'worthy response' and accused Kyiv's 'Western masters' of supporting Ukraine's aggressive maneuvers.
