The United States remains optimistic about the Gaza ceasefire talks proceeding as scheduled, despite Hamas' decision to abstain from participation, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre stated on Wednesday.
Speaking to reporters, Jean-Pierre confirmed that CIA Director Bill Burns and U.S. Middle East envoy Brett McGurk would represent the United States at the negotiations, set for Thursday in Qatar.
These discussions aim to address longstanding conflicts and pursue a sustainable resolution for peace in the region.
