Ukraine Destroys Russian Infrastructure in Kursk Region With U.S.-Made Weapons
Ukraine reported the destruction of Russian pontoon bridges in Kursk region using U.S.-made weapons. This action follows Kyiv's unexpected incursion into the region, where Moscow has been trying to advance. Both nations report heavy fighting and use of drones, with Kyiv claiming significant territorial gains.
Ukraine reported on Wednesday the destruction of Russian pontoon bridges in Kursk region using U.S.-made weapons, a strategic move amidst their ongoing incursion into the area. Meanwhile, Moscow claimed its forces had halted Kyiv's advance and made progress in eastern Ukraine.
Olaf Scholz, Germany's chancellor, indicated that Berlin was not pre-consulted and expected the operation in Kursk to be limited. Ukraine maintains a buffer zone in the region to counter cross-border strikes.
Videos from Ukrainian special forces confirm multiple strikes on pontoon crossings in Kursk. Kyiv claims more territorial gains this year compared to Moscow. Russia, however, describes the incursion as an escalation, continuing its advance near Pokrovsk.
