Kim Jong Un Inspects Nuclear Facilities and New Weaponry
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un inspected a uranium enrichment facility, a new multiple rocket launcher, and the Nuclear Weapons Institute. Setting a long-term plan for nuclear material production, Kim also oversaw a combat drill by the special operations armed force, according to state media KCNA.
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un visited the control room of a uranium enrichment facility to assess the operation of its production lines. He also oversaw a test-fire for a new 600mm multiple rocket launcher, state media KCNA reported on Friday.
Kim further inspected the Nuclear Weapons Institute and the production base for weapon-grade nuclear materials, where he set a long-term plan to boost the production of these materials. KCNA quoted Kim as expressing a sense of strength from witnessing the worksite firsthand.
The report did not specify the date of the visit. Additionally, Kim guided a combatants drill at the training base of North Korea's special operation armed force on Wednesday, as per a separate KCNA report.
