Firefighters successfully extinguished a significant blaze at a fuel depot located in Russia's Ural mountains on Friday. The fire's cause, still under investigation by the emergencies ministry, coincided with drone strikes in areas near the Ukrainian border.
The Russian Defence Ministry announced that air defenses intercepted 18 Ukrainian drones overnight. These included six drones over the Belgorod and Voronezh regions, one over the Rostov region, and five over the Azov Sea, all bordering Ukraine.
Voronezh regional governor Alexander Gusev confirmed that air defenses neutralized several Ukrainian drones and reported no injuries. A small fire was extinguished at an unoccupied storage tank at a fuel depot, unscathed by the incidents.
