Four Naxalites, including an individual carrying a reward of Rs 2 lakh, have surrendered to security forces in Chhattisgarh's Sukma district, according to the police.
The surrendered members, Midiyam Bhima, Sodi Munna alias Manoj, Muchaki Deva, and Sula Muchaki alias Kawasi, expressed dissatisfaction with the Naxal atrocities against tribals and the 'inhuman' Maoist ideology, according to an official statement.
The state government's elimination policy and welfare schemes played a role in their decision to surrender. The group, previously engaged in violent activities, will now be provided with financial aid and rehabilitation under government policy.
