In a strong statement on Wednesday, China expressed its unwavering confidence and capability to uphold its national sovereignty and territorial integrity. This follows the recent transit of two U.S. Navy ships through the Taiwan Strait, a sensitive area for Beijing.

Zhu Fenglian, spokesperson for China's Taiwan Affairs Office, emphasized the importance of the United States handling Taiwan-related issues with caution. She stressed that the U.S. must avoid sending incorrect signals to Taiwanese separatist movements.
