Chief Justice Afridi Seeks Bipartisan Support for Judicial Reforms

During a meeting held with PTI leaders, Afridi emphasized that judicial reform should serve as a Minimum Common National Agenda requiring bipartisan backing. The meeting comes as part of Afridi's broader agenda to engage stakeholders in discussions on reform initiatives.

The Chief Justice assured Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of his commitment to expedite pending tax cases and reduce overall delays in the Supreme Court. Meanwhile, PTI leadership expressed concerns over the legal handling of cases against its members, urging fair and transparent judicial processes as a cornerstone for economic stability.
