Protests broke out on Tuesday in Jharkhand's legislative assembly, as BJP lawmakers demanded a CBI investigation into alleged leaks in state board exam papers. The Jharkhand Academic Council had earlier canceled Class 10 exams for Hindi and Science, citing viral leaks on social media.
Adding to the commotion, BJP legislators, led by MLA Naveen Jaiswal, questioned the government's integrity and called the administration's response an 'eyewash.' Simultaneously, issues of sand shortage impacting construction projects, including PM Awas Yojana, were raised.
The day's proceedings also saw heated debate over the ruling JMM-led government's performance, counterclaims of reduced corruption, and law and order improvements, amid accusations from the BJP of unfulfilled promises and increased crime rates.
