Amit Shah Highlights the Sacred Duty of Lawyers in Nation Building

Union Minister Amit Shah underscored the crucial involvement of lawyers in shaping the nation, speaking to a group of 11,000 young lawyers at the Bar Association of Gujarat's oath-taking ceremony. Shah highlighted the historical significance of lawyers in securing freedom and drafting the Constitution, describing their role as a noble duty.

Shah emphasized that the legal profession transcends mere occupation. Lawyers are tasked with protecting and implementing constitutional rights, ensuring justice, and contributing to the nation's legal and democratic processes. With the Constitution marking its 75th anniversary, Shah acknowledged the dynamic changes in criminal law and India's rise as a global economic leader.

Addressing current issues, Shah noted the government's efforts to deliver social, economic, and political justice under Prime Minister Modi's leadership. He highlighted significant reforms such as the abolition of Article 370 and granting 33% representation to women in law-making bodies. Shah concluded by calling for the expedient delivery of justice to maintain public trust in the judiciary.
