Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta engaged with residents of Bhanwar Singh and Nepali Camps in R K Puram on Sunday, as part of ongoing public meets leading up to the Developed Delhi budget. The interaction focused on addressing pressing local issues and ensuring prompt governmental action.
Gupta responded to community grievances over irregular water supply, insufficient sanitation, and deteriorating roads, urging officials for immediate intervention. She also addressed concerns raised by women about increasing drug addiction and closed public toilets, pledging a meeting with the Delhi Police Commissioner to tackle the drug problem.
During Gupta's visit, which saw her accompanied by MP Bansuri Swaraj and MLA Anil Sharma, she was thanked by local women for the Mahila Samridhi Yojana approval, guaranteeing Rs 2,500 monthly support. The visit comes as the newly elected BJP government prepares its inaugural annual budget slated for March 24 to 26.
