AAP leader Kuldeep Kumar staged a protest at ITO in Delhi, highlighting the BJP's unfulfilled promise of providing free gas cylinders to women, a grievance magnified as Holi began. Kumar criticized the BJP for not delivering the promised cylinders despite assurances.
He pointed out that women had booked cylinders expecting them to be free, only to face full charges. The protest, marked by large banners, sought clarity on when the promised Rs 2,500 would be dispensed and suggested further protests during Diwali if the issue persists.
Protester Anjana Prasad echoed these frustrations, sharing her personal experience of paying Rs 800 for a cylinder on Holi. The demonstration used visual displays, including a large banner near ITO, to communicate their demands and spur the government into action.
