Operation Sankalp: A Fierce Battle Against Naxal Insurgency

In a significant operation named 'Operation Sankalp', twenty-two Naxalites were killed in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district, marking one of the biggest counter-insurgency efforts in the region. The operation involves a massive deployment of security personnel and targets senior Maoist cadres across challenging terrains.

In an intense counter-insurgency operation dubbed 'Operation Sankalp', security forces have eliminated 22 Naxalites in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district. This high-stakes encounter took place in the Karregutta hills, an area known for its dense forests and strategic importance to Maoist operations.

Launched in April, Operation Sankalp aims to dismantle the infrastructure of the Maoist battalion no. 1, believed to be the strongest military formation within their ranks. The operation has seen the deployment of around 24,000 security personnel, including various specialized units from the state and central forces.

Despite the challenges posed by the difficult terrain, the operation has successfully destroyed numerous Naxal hideouts and confiscated a large cache of weapons and explosives. Although some security personnel were injured, they are reported to be in stable condition.
