Amid escalating tensions, the US Consulate in Lahore has urged all personnel to shelter in place following reports of drone explosions, downed drones, and potential airspace violations around the city.
A security alert from the Consulate indicated preliminary reports that some areas adjacent to Lahore’s main airport might be evacuated by authorities.
The consulate also advised American citizens in conflict areas to evacuate safely or remain sheltered if evacuation is not feasible. An official report confirmed that multiple drones impacted the Lahore cantonment area, with subsequent response from the armed forces causing local panic. In related developments, Pakistan Army spokesman Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry reported a drone crash near Lahore, resulting in injuries to four soldiers.
