In the early hours of Thursday, two stationary buses were consumed by fire in the Naxal-troubled Balaghat district of Madhya Pradesh, authorities reported.
The incident unfolded around 2:30 am in the Ukwa area, located 40 km from the district headquarters, near Roopjhar police station. Police sub-inspector Gopal Singh confirmed ongoing investigations to determine whether Naxalite activity was involved.
Fire services were dispatched to the scene following a watchman's alert. Investigations continue into the possibility of arson, with bus owners Suraj and Santosh Agrawal pending to file complaints.
