The traders reportedly argued over market issues, as confirmed by Biswanath Additional Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar Hojai. This altercation escalated, culminating in gunfire.
One suspect has been apprehended by locals and handed over to the authorities, while efforts are ongoing to capture the second individual and explore additional leads in the case.
