Hostilities between Thailand and Cambodia intensified as clashes occurred at no fewer than six locations along their shared border. In response, Thailand's military has shut down all checkpoints, according to a statement from a Thai military official on Thursday.
Rear Admiral Surasant Kongsiri reported that Cambodia escalated the situation by deploying drones and troops equipped with rocket-propelled grenades in the early hours of Thursday.
The altercation reached a critical point when Cambodian troops fired upon Thai soldiers, compelling a forceful counter-response to the aggressors.
