The Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) is set to observe Vigilance Awareness Week from October 27 to November 2, in alignment with Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's birth anniversary, officials revealed. This annual event aims to promote vigilance as a communal responsibility to combat corruption.
Each year, the CVC adopts various strategies to effectively execute its anti-corruption mandate. Vigilance Awareness Week remains a crucial tool in reinforcing preventive vigilance, fostering integrity within public offices. The theme for this year emphasizes vigilance as a shared duty among all citizens and government personnel.
In addition to marking the event for 2025, the anti-corruption body has initiated a three-month campaign from August 18 to November 17, focusing on preventive vigilance, pending complaints and cases, capacity building, asset management, and digital efforts. All ministries and organizations are urged to actively participate and report on measures taken during this period.
