Visiting the village, Sarma met the families and provided Rs 2 lakh each. He assured ongoing support for the injured, now receiving treatment at AIIMS-Guwahati. The Chief Minister criticized media involvement for escalating tensions and urged trust in the judicial process.
Chief Minister Sarma announced intentions for a fast track court trial for the case and committed Rs 10 lakh for local temple development projects, emphasizing government support in the wake of the tragic incident.
