The Delhi Police have taken a significant stride in a complex case of espionage and forgery, arresting 59-year-old Mohammad Adil Hussaini. The alleged mastermind behind a fake passport ring operating out of Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, Hussaini was found with links to a foreign nuclear scientist.
Identified and arrested in Delhi's Seemapuri, Hussaini also used aliases like Syed Adil Hussain and Nasimuddin. Reports suggest he was in contact with a foreign-based nuclear scientist and used counterfeit documents to obtain access to sensitive areas, indicating the serious nature of his activities.
According to Additional Commissioner Pramod Singh Kushwah, both Adil Hussaini and his brother were involved in providing sensitive information to foreign entities. They reportedly obtained multiple Indian passports through forged documents. The police also seized original and fake passports from Hussaini, and investigations continue into the full reach of this forgery network.
