BJD president Naveen Patnaik has strongly criticized the BJP government in Odisha, accusing it of dashing the hopes of numerous job seekers due to frequent examination cancellations. His remarks came following the recent leak of the Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery (ANM) exam papers, which led to the examination being called off.
Patnaik highlighted that this instance is not isolated, with 18 recruitment exams being cancelled in just 18 months under the BJP's rule in the state. He questioned the government's intentions and demanded an end to the cycle of exam cancellations that continually disrupts the future of the state's youth.
The issue sparked an uproar in the state assembly, leading Health and Family Welfare Minister Mukesh Mahaling to address the paper leak. An FIR has been filed, and police investigations are underway. The incident underlined the need for improved integrity in the administration of state examinations.
