BJP MLA Krishna Khopade accused Mundhe of issuing Rs 20 crore worth of unauthorized cheques in 2020. Adding to the claims, Mundhe was reportedly threatened by his supporters, escalating tensions.
Despite facing previous inquiries, Mundhe remains unindicted. The government, under Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, pledged comprehensive scrutiny to ensure justice, pledging updates to the assembly.
