A 46-year-old businessman, Rajkumar Singhal, lost his life in a devastating car fire in Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, according to police reports released on Tuesday.

Singhal was identified as being involved in the paint business. The tragic incident occurred late Monday near Sorkha village, in the Sector 113 police area, while he was driving towards Parthala Chowk. The vehicle unexpectedly caught fire, and the exact cause remains under investigation, noted Station House Officer Krishna Gopal Sharma.

Efforts by fire tenders to extinguish the flames were futile by the time they arrived. The vehicle had been reduced to ashes, and it is feared that the presence of paint or other flammable materials may have accelerated the blaze. Authorities have sent the body for post-mortem examination as part of the ongoing investigation.
