On Thursday, authorities in Goa sealed a restaurant owned by former Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar due to illegal constructions on salt pan land located in Arambol village, North Goa.

Pernem Deputy Collector Shivprasad Naik ordered the closure of the Ottello restaurant, which sprawls across 700 square meters of land owned by Parsekar, for lacking valid construction permissions.

Parsekar, who served as Goa's Chief Minister from 2014 to 2017, stated that he had leased out the establishment and claimed no responsibility for the necessary permits.
