Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district have thwarted a potential threat by recovering a three-kilogram Improvised Explosive Device (IED). The operation, executed on Thursday, took place in Kakora village under the jurisdiction of the Manjakote police station, following credible intelligence inputs.
The anti-terror operation was initiated as a cordon and search mission, aimed at neutralizing potential threats in the area. During the meticulous operation, suspicious material was identified in a forested region, later confirmed as an IED by the Bomb Disposal Squad.
The device was strategically destroyed using a controlled explosion, thereby eliminating any imminent threat to the region. The successful operation underscores the vigilance and efficiency of the security forces in maintaining peace and safety in the area.
