Heroin Smuggling Bust via Drone: Two Arrested in J&K
Two individuals were arrested for smuggling heroin from Pakistan into Jammu and Kashmir via drone. The police identified the culprits through technical analysis and CCTV footage, discovering their connection to a Pakistan-based smuggler. Approximately 150 gm of heroin was seized.

In a significant crackdown, Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested two individuals on Friday for their involvement in smuggling heroin via drone from Pakistan. The contraband was dropped in the border areas of the Kathua district, officials confirmed.
The investigation began following specific intelligence regarding a drone-related delivery along the J-K-Punjab border near Nagri. Through technical analysis and CCTV examination, the first suspect, identified as Jatin from Pathankot, Punjab, was apprehended.
Further investigation led to the arrest of Danish Dogra alias Sajan from Jakhbar, Kathua. The probe revealed the accused's collaboration with a Pakistan-based smuggler through VoIP calls, intending to distribute the heroin to susceptible youth for financial gains. The operation resulted in the seizure of around 150 gm of heroin.
