Delhi Police has unveiled a series of comprehensive infrastructure and technology enhancements as part of the Safe City Project, marking a significant step towards fortifying the capital's security measures. These upgrades were announced during the force's 79th Raising Day celebrations.

The initiative will see an extension of surveillance systems, featuring state-of-the-art technologies such as hand-gesture recognition, facial detection, and overcrowding alerts, aimed at improving real-time monitoring. The Command and Control Centre's capacity will also be upgraded to enhance operational oversight, with multiple CCTV cameras already installed across Delhi.

To strengthen response efforts in emergencies and during major events, mobile command vehicles will be deployed. Moreover, new facilities including the Special Cell headquarters in Lodhi Colony, three police stations, and six police chowkis are planned. A new seven-floor hostel in Rohini will accommodate 132 women personnel, reflecting the project's commitment to supporting female officers.
