Russian Strikes Intensify Ahead of Crucial Geneva Peace Talks
Russia's Defense Ministry reported a major strike on Ukraine's military-industrial and energy targets as peace talks in Geneva loom. Ukraine's air force successfully intercepted a significant number of Russian missiles and drones, but some managed to hit strategic locations across the country.

In the latest escalation of hostilities, the Russian Defence Ministry announced it had conducted a significant bombardment targeting Ukraine's military-industrial and energy infrastructure. This statement was reported by Interfax news agency on Tuesday, coinciding with the resumption of peace negotiations in Geneva between the two nations.
According to Ukraine's air force, the overnight assault involved the launch of 396 drones and 29 missiles by Russian forces. Demonstrating resilience, Ukrainian defenses managed to intercept and shoot down 25 of the missiles and 367 drones.
Despite Ukraine's defensive efforts, four ballistic missiles and 18 drones successfully hit 13 targets across the nation. The incident underscores the tense atmosphere as diplomatic efforts continue in Switzerland.
