Stalemate in Sight: Russia-Ukraine Peace Talks Continue

The Kremlin announced ongoing interests in continuing peace talks between Russia and Ukraine. These discussions, mediated by the U.S., have not yet set a new date or location. Despite several rounds of negotiations, significant disagreements remain, particularly over Russia's demand for control of Ukraine's eastern Donetsk region.

The Kremlin confirmed on Tuesday that all involved parties have a vested interest in the continuation of peace talks between Russia and Ukraine. However, a date and location for upcoming negotiations remain undecided.

Russia and Ukraine engaged in three rounds of discussions in Turkey last year and have had more U.S.-mediated sessions in Abu Dhabi and Geneva this year.

Despite ongoing talks, major disagreements persist, especially regarding Russia's insistence that Ukraine must relinquish control over its eastern Donetsk region.
