A shocking case of delayed reporting has emerged as a 16-year-old girl was allegedly abducted by a truck driver in November of the previous year. The girl's father, apprehensive of social repercussions, refrained from alerting authorities until this week.
The accused, Jitendra Kumar Saroj, aged 35, is a resident truck driver from Samalkot village. Reports indicate that the girl, a Class 11 student, left home for school on November 26 but never arrived, prompting her family to search independently.
Upon lodging a formal police complaint, the village's head's concern for social stigma became apparent. Efforts are intensifying, and an investigative team aims to track down the suspect, hoping for the girl's quick and safe recovery.
