In Arunachal Pradesh, Chief Minister Pema Khandu announced a forthcoming recruitment drive plan geared towards filling vacant government posts in the state. The initiative is contingent on the awaited recommendations from the Administrative Reforms Commission (ARC), which aims to enhance administrative efficiency and transparency across districts.

Addressing concerns during Question Hour, Khandu stated that while the district quota recruitment mechanism promises equitable distribution of jobs, it faces legal challenges. A writ petition questions the reservation's compliance with the constitutional mandate of equal employment opportunity, causing the court to temporarily halt quota-based appointments.

As the state seeks to address these legal obstacles, Khandu mentioned ongoing efforts to receive district vacancy reports and collaborate with the state advocate general. He emphasized the government's commitment to resolving the issue and filling posts once the ARC provides necessary recommendations, especially in underdeveloped districts like Longding.
