An Assistant Police Inspector was apprehended by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for allegedly receiving a bribe of Rs 1.5 lakh, officials reported on Tuesday.

Identified as Tushar Kale, the officer from the Khar police station was embroiled in a corruption case involving a property dispute investigation.

After demanding Rs 3 lakh for a biased report, Kale settled for a lesser amount, leading to his capture and subsequent charges under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
