The government of Himachal Pradesh is set to develop a new policy for multi-task workers in various departments, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announced in the state assembly. This initiative follows interventions during a legislative session and addresses earlier measures, including salary hikes from the previous administration.
Public Works Department Minister Vikramaditya Singh elaborated that the remuneration for multi-task workers has seen increments from Rs 4,000 to Rs 5,500 a month. Assigned duties will be finalized soon, ensuring clarity and structure in their roles, according to ministry sources.
On a related note, assembly discussions brought to light the cases of fraud filed by farmers, actions taken under the Indian Forest Act regarding bamboo reclassification, and legal processes to mitigate corruption, as detailed by the Chief Minister in response to inquiries by several MLAs.
