Supreme Court Questions Hidden Motives in Air India Crash Report Plea

The Supreme Court, in a strongly-worded statement, questioned a petitioner's 'deep-rooted agenda' while dismissing their plea on Wednesday regarding the Air India crash preliminary investigation report of June last year.

A bench, led by Chief Justice Surya Kant, denied the petition that challenged the February decision of the Delhi High Court, which had dismissed a PIL requesting detailed event information leading up to the tragic crash.

The Court expressed disbelief at the petitioner's persistence despite victims' families not filing such requests, and suggested using the Right to Information (RTI) Act for seeking additional details.
