Threat Averted: Suspect Detained Over Mumbai Hotel Bomb Scare
A man named Santosh Sawant was detained for allegedly threatening to bomb two hotels in Mumbai, including the Taj Mahal Palace. The threat was traced to him after a call was made to the hotel. Police have registered a case and initiated further legal action.

Police have apprehended a man suspected of issuing a bomb threat to two significant hotels in South Mumbai, including the iconic Taj Mahal Palace Hotel. The threat, received Tuesday night, spurred a thorough investigation.
Security forces quickly traced the threat to a location near Vashi, leading to the detention of Santosh Sawant in Mumbai's Sion area. The police registered a non-cognisable case against him at the Colaba police station.
Sawant, who reportedly works as a housekeeper and lives with his mother in Vichumbe, Panvel, has been brought in for further legal proceedings. It's noteworthy that these hotels were previously targeted during the 26/11 attacks in Mumbai.
