An internal investigation has been initiated by Odisha authorities following claims of custodial abuse by police officers against a mother and her son in the Kendrapara district. The alleged victims reported incidents of physical assault and unlawful detention at the Talachua Marine Police Station.
According to police sources, the issue came to light when the duo accused the station's personnel of extreme misconduct during a routine questioning session over a domestic dispute complaint. As the probe is underway, district police leadership promises swift action based on the review's outcome.
