Subramani Steps into Role as India's New Defence Leader

NS Raja Subramani assumed the role of Chief of Defence Staff in India, with a mission to drive theatre command integration and enhance cooperation among the armed forces. NS Raja Subramani has been appointed as India's new Chief of Defence Staff, stepping into the role with the aim of implementing crucial reforms. These include the ambitious plan for theatre command integration, designed to enhance coordination across the tri-services.

Subramani succeeds Anil Chauhan, who recently completed his tenure. Having served as Military Advisor at the National Security Council Secretariat, Subramani retired as the Vice Chief of Army Staff last July. His extensive career, spanning over four decades, is highlighted by numerous key positions and operational leadership roles in the Indian military.

Expressing determination towards reform, Subramani emphasized enhancing the armed forces' synergy and integrating indigenous weapons. He reassured citizens of the commitment to safeguard India's sovereignty.
