EU says U.S. has failed to engage on aircraft settlement offer

The European Union said on Tuesday the United States has failed to respond to the settlement offer on aircraft subsidies it made earlier this year and urged Washington to work towards an agreement, according to the EU delegation to the United States.

"The U.S. so far has failed to engage," spokesman Kasper Zeuthen said in a statement. "We call on the U.S. to join us at the negotiating table and engage in discussions to reach a balanced negotiated settlement."
