Strike by French utility EDF, notice served for Oct. 8

French utility EDF has been served notice of a 24-hour strike that is expected to start on Monday Oct. 8 and could impact electricity production at its generation sites, French electricity grid operator RTE said on Tuesday.
RTE did not give any reason for the strike and EDF could not immediately be reached for comment.
